Ted Moss, CEO
Ted L. Moss, CPP, is the founder and President of Crimcheck.com, a leader in the pre-employment screening industry. Serving business enterprises nationally and internationally, Crimcheck.com has provided comprehensive background checks to both small businesses and Fortune 500 corporations for over 15 years.
Mr. Moss is a 25-year veteran of law enforcement and corporate security.Having spent several years as an Investigator for The Ohio Department of Mental Health added a unique perspective to Mr. Moss’ diverse experience.He then transitioned from law enforcement to the loss prevention and security management field for various companies.In 1986, Mr. Moss formed OMNI protective services in Akron, Ohio. He later joined Inter-Fact, Inc. in Bedford Heights, Ohio, as the Director of Investigations where he pioneered groundbreaking methods in the employment screening industry which resulted in the purchase of the company by the Trans-Union Corporation.
In 1991 he founded Crimcheck.com. Mr. Moss is an expert on matters of employment screening, identity theft, safe hiring practices, negligent hiring, loss prevention, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In 2006, he earned the designation of CPP™ ( Certified Protection Professional) from ASIS International, the premier international organization for security professionals, for which he also served as a Regional Vice President. Ted is also active in Rotary International, serving locally for the Rotary Club of Berea, Ohio.

Ryan Sherman, Vice President
As a 10-year veteran of the investigative and background screening industry Mr. Sherman is in charge of managing the staff and all aspects of daily operations of Crimcheck.com and its many divisions. As a graduate from Baldwin Wallace College with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Ryan’s knowledge and diligence in the Background Screening area has made Crimcheck.com the industry leader it is today. Ryan had previously been involved with the Investigations Division of the United States Custom and Immigration Service.
Ryan currently sits on various committees for Best Practices and the Certification Checklist Sub Committee for National Association of Professional Background Screeners and is the Scholarship Chairperson for the Cleveland chapter of ASIS International.
